When I was in eighth grade, my mother took me to Sephora to buy my first makeup. "If you are going to wear makeup, you're going to wear it right," she told me when we got in the car. When we got to the store, I learned how to do a full face of makeup and to this day, it is still one of my favorite things to do. Makeup, like fashion, is an artistic outlet where I can express myself.
Here are my favorite products that I wear nearly every day!
Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
I have been using this guy for years. Although it may seem hard to believe that a spray can help your makeup stay all day, it is a miracle worker. On days where I do not use it, my eyeshadow does not stay as pigmented throughout the day.
Origins GinZing Eye Cream
I have gotten used to waking up at 5:20 every morning to go to work every day, but you can definitely see my lack of sleep under my eyes. I apply this cream to my undereyes every morning to depuff and brighten my dark circles. Plus I will do anything to delay getting crows feet, so I make sure that my eyes are always moisturized.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick
A day does not go by without me wearing lipstick. By far, my favorite brand is Charlotte Tilbury. Her shade range has such striking, yet classic shades. For an expensive lipstick, you get what you pay for. Their long lasting formula and pigmented shades allow for hardly any need for touch-ups throughout the day. My favorite shades? So Marilyn (a classic red), Love Liberty (a beautiful deep purpley pink), and Bond Girl (a rosey nude).
NYX Matte Liquid Liner
I have used this eyeliner since my Junior year of high school. It blows any high-end liquid eyeliner out of the water. It lasts all day, but is also super easy for removal at the end of the day.
Benefit Roller Lash
This. Mascara. Rules. I unfortunately have short eyelashes, but this mascara does not make it look like it. Even if I do not use my actual curler, it looks like I did. If you want a mascara that makes your eyelashes look as amazing from the second you apply, to the second you remove, this is the one for you. I can see why this mascara has a cult following and is the favorite of many beauty gurus on YouTube.
Nars Blush in Dolce Vita
NARS is known for their blush. I think that a dusty rose for a blush is the most classic color. Dolce Vita is a must have for any person with an olive skin tone.
Laura Mercier Under Eye Powder
I seldom wear foundation, but always wear concealer. Right now in Philly it is super humid and when I sweat, I do not want it to budge. This powder specifically for under your eyes does the trick perfectly!
Too Faced Born This Way Concealer
Like I said, I typically have dark circles under my eyes, so I was looking for a concealer with great coverage to hide them. This concealer comes with a ton of product and an has an large doe-foot applicator.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Highlighter in Sparkler
For my highlighter, I like it to be more subtle so I always pick a color that is close to my skin tone. I am currently loving this one by Tarte.
MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Ground Brown
Although MAC Cosmetics is not nearly as popular with the beauty community as it once was, I do love their eyeshadow. I find their shadow extremely blendable and pigmented. I specifically use their Ground Brown eyeshadow to occasionally use it as an eyebrow pencil. It perfectly matches my hair color, and I love how I can fill in any sparse areas without it looking like I applied any at all.
