How I Style a Bold Patterned Skirt

Although it seems like people usually have closets that are filled with your classic black, white, grey, and camel clothing items, if you look in my closet, you can see that is not the case.  I love wearing bright colors and my closet is a rainbow of prints and textures.  Tracee Ellis Ross, blogger KarenBritChick, and the character Carrie Bradshaw are the three people I think of who are always wearing bold colors.  Although their styles are different from each other, they all have this It-Girl style that is so fun and eye-catching.  Their bright looks can be feminine or more masculine, which I think people usually associate with more feminine looks.  Whatever color they wear, and their confidence completely are completely eye-catching.

I love this skirt because it has so many different colors.  I have worn many different colored tops with it, and it looks so different and fresh each time.  When it gets colder in the winter, I can wear it with a turtleneck, tights, boots, and a camel coat.

These shoes from Zara were a fantastic find during one of their semi-annual sales.  The criss-crossed straps in the front are very similar to Jimmy Choo's Lancer Pumps.  The shoes are also very comfortable for a fairly high heel and are in this beautiful wine color.

Since I wore a black top with the skirt, I decided to add a multicolored necklace which I think makes the colors on the skirt pop more.

This is another amazing bag that I get endless compliments on from Zara.  Its large beaded handle is a great and unexpected pairing with its wicker body.
